India-made TB diagnostics tech wins acclaim at World Health Assembly

Molbio Diagnostics’ Truenat platform was commended at the 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva for its significant role in advancing tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis. Developed in India, Truenat is a portable, battery-operated, real-time micro-PCR system capable of delivering rapid, point-of-care results and testing for over 40 diseases. The Global Fund and WHO praised India’s innovative TB initiatives, including the deployment of Truenat devices, as models for global healthcare systems. With around 10,000 installations worldwide, Truenat continues to enhance early detection and management of TB, a critical step towards global TB elimination goals.
