Molbio Diagnostics receives Kochon prize for portable molecular diagnostic tool

Molbio Diagnostics has been awarded the prestigious Kochon Prize 2024 by the Stop TB Partnership for its portable Truenat PCR platform, recognised for revolutionising TB diagnostics in low-resource settings. The WHO- and ICMR-endorsed system enables rapid, on-site detection without reliance on extensive lab infrastructure. Molbio has deployed over 10,000 devices across 80+ countries. CEO Sriram Natarajan announced the company would contribute the $65,000 prize money back to the Stop TB Partnership, reinforcing its commitment to equitable TB care worldwide.
